FAQ

Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly. However, I am happy to provide a superbill—a detailed receipt of services rendered—that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement if you have out-of-network benefits. Many clients find that working out-of-network offers several advantages, including greater privacy, more flexibility in choosing a therapist who aligns with their needs, and the ability to focus on the therapeutic process without restrictions imposed by insurance companies.
If you're unsure about your out-of-network benefits, I recommend contacting your insurance provider to learn more about reimbursement rates and requirements. I’m here to assist with any documentation needed to facilitate the process.

How frequently do we meet?
In the beginning, it’s most effective to meet once per week, as this consistency helps build momentum and creates a strong foundation for our work together. Weekly sessions allow us to establish trust, explore your goals, and address challenges in a focused and meaningful way.
As time goes on and your needs evolve, we can adjust the frequency of sessions to what feels most supportive for you. Whether it’s maintaining weekly sessions, transitioning to biweekly, or scheduling check-ins as needed, our approach will remain flexible to best meet your goals and circumstances.

What's your cacellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, I kindly ask for at least 24 hours' notice. This allows me to offer the time slot to someone else who may need it.
Cancellation or Rescheduling with 24+ Hours' Notice: No fees will be charged, and you are welcome to reschedule for a more convenient time.
Cancellation or Rescheduling Within 24 Hours of Your Appointment: If you cancel or request to reschedule within this window, the full session fee may be charged, unless we can find an alternate time for your session within the same week.
I understand that emergencies happen. In such cases, please reach out as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you.
-
How do you accept payment?
I accept payment through Venmo and Zelle for your convenience. Both platforms offer secure and quick transactions, ensuring a seamless payment process. Payment is due at the time of your session unless otherwise arranged. If you prefer another method of payment, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss additional options. Thank you for prioritizing timely payments, as this helps maintain the continuity and quality of care.

How will we track my progress in therapy?
Progress in therapy is a deeply personal journey, and we use a combination of self-assessment and collaborative reflection to track your growth. Before our first session, you will complete a self-assessment to help identify your goals, challenges, and areas of focus. Every couple of months, we’ll revisit this assessment to evaluate your progress, celebrate your achievements, and adjust our approach as needed.
In addition to these formal check-ins, progress is also measured through the insights you gain, the shifts you notice in your thoughts and behaviors, and how you feel in your day-to-day life. Together, we’ll work to ensure therapy continues to support your unique needs and aspirations.

What is Integrative Psychotherapy?
Integrative Psychotherapy is a flexible and holistic approach to therapy that combines elements from different therapeutic models to meet your unique needs. It recognizes that every individual is complex and multidimensional, addressing emotional, mental, physical, and social aspects of well-being. By blending evidence-based techniques—such as cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, creative arts, and mindfulness practices—integrative psychotherapy aims to foster self-awareness, healing, and personal growth.
This approach prioritizes collaboration, tailoring the therapeutic process to align with your values, goals, and experiences for a more meaningful and effective journey.

How can creativity help me grow and gain deeper self-awareness?
Engaging in your creative process can be a powerful tool for personal growth and self-discovery. Creativity allows you to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences in ways that words alone often cannot. Through artistic expression—whether through music, art, writing, or movement—you can access deeper parts of yourself, uncover hidden patterns, and process emotions in a safe and transformative way.
Creative exploration can also foster problem-solving skills, enhance emotional resilience, and provide a sense of empowerment as you discover new ways to express and understand yourself. By connecting with your inner creativity, you may find fresh perspectives and insights that guide you toward healing, growth, and a more meaningful connection with yourself and the world around you.

What is a Sound Bath, and What Are Its Benefits?
A sound bath is an immersive auditory experience designed to promote deep relaxation and restoration. During a sound bath, you are surrounded by the soothing sounds of instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and other resonant tones, which create gentle vibrations that can help calm the mind and body. This practice supports activation of the parasympathetic nervous system, the part of your body responsible for rest, relaxation, and healing. By shifting away from the "fight-or-flight" response, a sound bath encourages reduced stress, lower heart rate, and improved emotional balance.
Additionally, sound baths may enhance the function of the glymphatic system, which is responsible for clearing waste and toxins from the brain. This system is most active during deep relaxation and sleep, and the meditative state induced by sound baths can help facilitate this crucial process. Participants often report feeling a sense of clarity, emotional release, and physical rejuvenation after a session.
Whether you’re seeking stress relief, improved focus, or simply a moment of peace, a sound bath offers a holistic and restorative experience for mind, body, and spirit.
